The C.E.M Crown Extruder

 

Inspired by a microscope i started to develop this Crown Extruder for the 3D Printer.

When you use a mircoscope and the resolution is not enough you turn the head and get a better resolution.

So why we dont develop a extruder like this principle ?

So i started to design a concept for a Extruder with the benefits from a mircoscope.

 

This is my idea of a very versatile Extruder for 3D Printing.

The Head have nozzles with a different diameter to print more efficient.

For the fine shape you can turn the head and start printing with a small diameter

and for the rough shape you can turn the head and use a bigger diameter.

For example with a stepper motor you can turn the head.

This are the first stepps to improve 3D Printing with this extruder.

 

So here can you see the concept of the Crown Extruder mounted on a Mendel Pursa.

 

 

Here you can see the Extruder and how the drilling holes are placed.

The drilling hole are always vertical to the printing table,

the most important thing is that the nozzle on the Crown extruder has different diameter.

In this concept the Extruder has 4 nozzles with different diameter but we can use more nozzles, the 4 nozzle are not fix.

 

 

So the idea is to improve the resolution of the printing parts.

For the fine shape you can turn the head and start printing with a little diameter

and for the rough shape you can turn the head and use a bigger diameter.

 

 

 

And when you cut the 3D Printing Part you can see the different diameters of the Extruder.
